How to Join

NAPS branch affiliation is determined by a member's pay location. Our national constitution requires that any employee eligible for active membership who is employed in an installation affiliated with a branch, must affiliate with said branch.

To receive information on the name, address and/or telephone number of the branch officer to contact to join NAPS, please call the Area Vice President serving the state in which you are located.    The list of these officers and the states they serve can be found by folling this link: Area Vice Presidents.    (Please have your pay location finance number available when you call).

Click here to download a copy of the Form 1187 Application for Membership and Instructions. Your branch officer will advise you of the biweekly dues for the branch. NAPS national dues ($72 per year) are included in local branch dues that average $6 – $7 per pay period.

The additional amounts are used to cover local branch expenses such a sending newsletters to their membership, holding meetings and social functions, sending members to state and national conventions and the annual Legislative Training Seminar in Washington, DC, etc.
